The Thurlex Limited Warranty
One year from the date of purchase.
What is covered
Defects in materials and workmanship, on tools bought new from Thurlex or an authorised Thurlex retailer. If a tool fails because of how it was made, we repair it or replace it — our choice which.
What is not
- Normal wear: dulled edges, worn finish, pivots loosened by use
- Rust and corrosion
- Cosmetic marks, scratches and patina
- Damage from misuse, alteration, or repair by anyone else
- Loss or theft
- Tools bought secondhand or from an unauthorised seller
Sheaths, bits, and other included accessories are covered by the same one-year term as the tool itself — no separate, shorter clock.
How to make a claim
- Email alex@thurlex.com with your order number and photos of the problem — we don't use serial numbers, so there's nothing to look up first.
- We'll confirm coverage. If we need the tool back, we send you a prepaid label.
- Repair or replacement ships once it's confirmed, at our cost.
You pay nothing either direction on a valid claim. If it turns out not to be covered, we tell you why, and quote you for the repair if it is repairable.
Why it is not longer
Leatherman's warranty runs 25 years — 40 for Insider Rewards members. Gerber covers the original owner for life. Both companies have decades of scale behind those promises. We're a two-person company in our first year: a one-year warranty we can actually fund and honor beats a longer number we couldn't back up. We'll extend this as Thurlex grows, and we'll say so here the day it changes.
Your other rights
This warranty gives you specific legal rights. You may also have other rights, which vary from state to state. Because we give you this written warranty, we do not disclaim implied warranties, including the implied warranty of merchantability. Any implied warranty lasts as long as this written warranty, to the extent state law allows.
Some states do not allow limits on how long an implied warranty lasts, or the exclusion of incidental or consequential damages, so those limits may not apply to you.
